Site Assessment

This report presents insights from the research study undertaken in Monwabisi Park in Cape Town, the legislative capital city of South Africa, in collaboration with Violence Prevention through Urban Upgrading (VPUU).

The Proximity of Care Framework was used to frame and inform the research and understand the challenges and opportunities for early childhood development across the city.

The report also identifies opportunities for enhancing the living conditions of young children, their caregivers and pregnant women, and for empowering communities through innovative and strategic spatial interventions.
